I am a Host/Producer and de facto News Director at public radio station KRCU in Cape Giradeau, Missouri. I work with a team of student reporters and producers at Southeast Missouri State University to provide local newscasts. The best part about my job is learning about new and different subjects every day and the chance to mold the direction of KRCU’s news effort. My work has been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition and All Things Considered as well as PRI’s The World.
I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama between 2002 and 2005, where I worked with small-scale agriculture projects and I produced a weekly radio program about sustainable development.
I have an MA in Environmental Studies from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a BA in Anthropology and Spanish at Southeast Missouri State University.
